The side of the Texas Center Office Building in College Station was ripped off early Wednesday morning by powerful winds generated by severe storms. No one was believed to be in the office building when the storms hit, but when workers arrived they saw stucco, glass, cements, wood, nails and other building materials laying on the ground.
Workers were greeted by hanging ceiling tiles, offices without windows.
"Pretty shocking to see the amount of damage that was done on the building from just a wind storm," said Jason Seal, property manager for Texas Center Office Building.
More damage could be found right down the street at Card and Party Factory, located at 717 Texas Avenue. Strong winds pushed in the front glass window.
Manger Tina Chatham was disbelief when she arrived at work Wednesday morning.
"I was worried about everything around here," said Chatham.
No one was injured.
