Candidates for Texas A&M University Student Body President will face off on campus in a series of debates this month at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
The debates will be held Feb. 13 and 23 at 7 p.m., with a run-off debate Feb. 29, if necessary.
Election Commissioner Kyle Jackson said he chose the Bush Library and Museum not only for its significance as a venue, but also because of the “Headed to the White House” exhibit currently on display.
“One of my main goals as election commissioner is to educate the student body on being politically responsible. I hope that the experience gained at the library by both the candidates and the attendees will spur their interest in both the student body and national elections,” Jackson said.
All attendees, candidates and campaign staff will have free access to the Bush Library and Museum’s current exhibit “Headed to the White House” before the start of each debate. For more information about the exhibit go to bushlibrary.tamu.edu/whitehouse.
