Teen Responsible for Huntsville Power Outages

More than 100 Entergy electric customers in Huntsville lost power for about ten hours yesterday after an alleged drunk driver crashed into a utility pole.

The single-vehicle wreck happened in the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue just after 2 a.m.

19-year-old Philip Urso, the driver of a pickup was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. That offense is a Class-C Misdemeanor for a minor.

Police say they also have reason to believe Urso was on his cell phone, either talking or texting before the wreck.

Urso was not injured and booked into the Walker County Jail.
He was released after paying a $369 fine.
