Texas A&M College Rodeo Underway at Expo Center

The Texas A&M College Rodeo kicked off Friday at the Brazos County Expo Center with barrel racing.

Texas A&M senior Taylor Jacob took a first place in that event. Colleges from all across Texas and Louisiana are competing in this year's rodeo, with Sam Houston State the favorite to win the overall competition.

The rodeo's main events began Friday night, with the championship round of events planned Saturday at 7pm.

General admission is $10. Students can enter at a discounted rate of $7.
