The Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets will conduct its annual Final Review Saturday (May 4) at Kyle Field, signifying the end of its 2012-2013 school year — and graduation next week for many of them, including approximately 80 who will be commissioned into one of the four branches of the military.
The cadets will step off from the “quad, the area where they are housed, at 9:30 a.m. and then proceed to Kyle Field where they will form up for a farewell to the graduating senior class — a process that includes a formal ‘pass in review.’ The reviewing stand for this event traditionally consists of high-ranking military and university officials, and the “pass in review” allows them to inspect the cadets as they march past.
At approximately 11 a.m., the leadership of next year’s corps will form up on Kyle Field. These new leaders will be acknowledged and then conduct a second “pass in review,” with the graduating seniors acting as the reviewing officers.
Final Review, which is open to the public, is expected to conclude by noon. Gates to Kyle Field will open at 8:30 a.m.
