Bryan-College Station, Tx – The Junior League of Bryan-College Station will host its fourth annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive at the Brazos Center in Bryan on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with satellite locations at local HEB grocery stores from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You can also donate online at jlbcs.org.
KBTX will broadcast live from the Brazos Center throughout the day, and Candy 95 will host its radio show from the Brazos Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Various Clear Channel radio stations will be broadcasting throughout the day from both the Brazos Center and HEB at the Tejas Center.
Needed items include: #2 pencils, notebook paper, composition books, colored map pencils, folders with brads, folders without brads, erasers, supply boxes, pencil pouches, rulers, black pens, glue sticks, 4 oz. glue, scissors, highlighters, dry erase markers, washable markers, spiral notebooks, crayons, manila paper, construction paper, 2-inch binders, and 3-inch binders.
The Junior League plans to provide school supplies to more than 16,000 students in-need throughout Bryan ISD, College Station ISD and several local agencies.

Local HEB Grocery Stores are collecting point of purchase cash donations in increments of $1, $3, and $5 for the Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive now through Tuesday, Aug. 27. Prepackaged school supply bundles are also conveniently available at the registers to make it easy for everyone to participate. Residents can support this signature project by shopping at local HEB Grocery Stores.
Each donor who delivers their school supplies to the Brazos Center on Thursday, August 8, will be able to put their name in the hat for a beautiful Roberto Coin bracelet, which is valued at $770 and was generously donated by David Gardner’s Jewelers. The drawing will be held at the Brazos Center at 6 p.m. You need not be present to win, but you do have to be 18 years of age or older.
Chef Tai will be at the Brazos Center from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with his mobile food truck. He will be donating a portion of his sales to Stuff the Bus.
Stuff the Bus T-shirts are available. The shirts are $20 each and the proceeds go directly back to help us “stuff the bus!” Shirts can be purchased at jlbcs.org.
Junior League members coordinate all aspects of the program including: purchasing, transporting, inventory, sorting of supplies, tracking donations, and serving as a liaison between Bryan and College Station Independent School Districts.
