The half-marathon and 5k race began this morning at Veterans Park.
More than half of the participants actually did the half-marathon, but the first one to come across the finish line was Weston Caceres of Lake Jackson, Texas.

"It feels great! Definietly feel blessed to be able to run healthy and run fast here today," said Caceres.

Since 2007, more than $130,000 have been donated to local organizations because of the Armadillo Dash.
