From College Station Police:
The reconstruction efforts at Texas and Southwest Parkway have been
completed for the day.
All lanes of both roadways are open again.
Two people were critically injured in a motorcycle accident in College
Station Monday evening.
College Station police say 20-year-old Caleb Tate a Texas A&M student from Seguin was thrown from his motorcycle when a car turned in front of him on Southwest Parkway near Texas Avenue.
Police say the accident happened just before 5:30 p.m.
Investigators say the motorcycle slammed into the passenger side of the car.
Tate was not wearing a helmet and was taken to the College Station Medical Center where he's listed in critical condition.
The passenger in the car 20-year-old Julio Castro of Bedias is listed in fair condition at the Med.
The car's driver, 18-year-old Nia Dorsey, also of Bedias, is listed in stable condition.
Police say she was cited for failure to yield.
Starting at 8:30 Tuesday morning police will be reconstructing the accident scene. They say to expect lane closures and delays in the area of Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue
