Tornado Touchdown In Lee County

A National Weather Service trained storm spotter has reported seeing a tornado in the Caldwell area.

There has been a confirmed tornado in Lee County in between Lincoln and Lexington. Storm chasers tell us the tornado lasted about 20 seconds in a rural area.

Meanwhile the National Weather Service radar indicated a tornado in the Caldwell area around 7:37 p.m. A trained spotter reported a rain wrapped tornado to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Texas Reds Festival attendees can take temporary shelter in the Roy Kelley parking garage at the corner of 26th and Regent Streets.
