Construction for the next couple of months could cause drivers traffic delays.
In College Station, starting tomorrow, the outside westbound lane of Harvey Road between Scarlett O'Hara and Munson Avenue will be closed daily between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the next four months. Crews will be replacing a water line which will help with service disruptions and improve fire protection to residents and businesses in the area.
Over in Bryan, crews have started to restripe the lanes on Briarcrest Drive from Kent Street to Highway 6. This project will shift the lanes to the south side of the roadway to provide a buffer for construction that will happen on the north side for the next 6 months.
Drivers can expect delays in the construction project area. The restriping is part of a $4.7 million dollar project. In the next 6 months, crews will also add turn lanes, a center median and improve sidewalks.
