Truck Carrying 10+ Tons of Waste Overturns on University Drive

Updated: Wed 9:55 PM, Jan 30, 2013

University Drive has reopened after a City of Bryan truck carrying more than ten tons of treated sewage overturned, spilling the product on the road.

Just before 5:00 p.m., the road was cleared after the sewage was removed and the road was thoroughly cleaned.

The driver of the truck was not injured. No other vehicles appear to have been involved.

The truck was turning off of Spring Loop onto University when it turned onto its side. Bryan has a wastewater treatment plant off Spring Loop.

Bryan and College Station crews worked to clean the site and divert traffic.
