Two Fatal Motorcycle Accidents Confirmed Near Lyons

Two separate motorcycle accidents have been confirmed in Burleson County near the town of Lyons.

Both happened on the same stretch of FM 60 West.

The first happened just after 5pm, when officials with the Department of Public Safety say a motorcyclist ran off the road and collided with a roadside object .3 miles west of the town of Lyons. The driver of that motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second accident happened just down the road on FM 60 West near the intersection of Park Road 57. According to investigators a motorcyclist collided with an SUV around 7:30pm. Officials say that one male person died at the scene, and a woman driver was flown by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
