Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in a crash involving two motorcycles Friday night.
The crash sent one of the riders to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan by helicopter.
The crash happened at the intersection of FM 2776 and Tabor Road, north of Bryan.
A state trooper says the two motorcycle drivers were traveling south on 2776 when one of the drivers lost control, spun out, and crashed.
The driver next to him then crashed. The bikes landed in a ditch. One of the drivers was thrown from his cycle.
He was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph Hospital. The other driver was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph.
State Trooper Patrick Cox said, "They were following behind a water truck that was leaking water. They do that from time to time. That mixed with alcohol and probably not paying attention. A lot of times when they ride in pairs they look at each other and talk to each other and alcohol has been involved."
No word on the conditions of the motorcycle drivers.
