TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY A 19-year-old has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, according to Texas A&M University Police.
Officials say a local hospital informed police that a sexual assault occurred on the Texas A&M campus Sunday, Sept. 1.
"The victim reported that she had been sexually assaulted earlier that day in her residence hall by a known acquaintance," according to a press release from UPD.
Police say Shane Anthony Jasek, a Georgetown resident, was arrested Thursday without incident. The university directory lists Jasek as a freshman studying mechanical engineering.
