U.S. Rep. Flores Say Constituents Against Strike Against Syria

A lot of lawmakers are finding their constituents back home are against a U.S. intervention in Syria for its reported use of chemical weapons against its own people.

Congressman Bill Flores of Bryan held a town hall meeting Thursday night at Rudder High School.

He got a head count on how those attending the meeting feel about a possible U.S. strike on Syria.

He asked those attending the meeting, "How many of you don't wan't to get involved in syria? OK- me neither."

The majority raised their hands.

Congressman Flores told News 3 earlier in the day that the Syrian conflict doesn't appear to be a clear and present danger to the United States and that a strike wouldn't be in the best strategic interest for the U.S.
