After nine years of serving as the president and CEO of the United Way of the Brazos Valley, Hank Roraback has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Monday night's decision came about two weeks after the non-profit announced that it hadn't paid nearly $300,000 in payments to its local partner agencies.

Roraback's job status will be discussed at a special board meeting on Monday, April 9th at 8 a.m. In the interim, United Way's board of directors will work with local United Way employees to perform Roraback's job duties.

News 3 has spoken with Ken Fogle, the board's chairman, who says he cannot discuss any details regarding Roraback's employment, but that on Monday a statement would be released.

Since financial problems were made public, United Way has hired and outside accounting firm to oversee its accounting practices.

Some of the Brazos Valley agencies receiving United Way funds include the Twin City Mission, Boys & Girls Club, Project Unity and Voices for Children. After United Way missed its March 30, 2012 payment to these and other agencies, the charity has paid more than $130,000 to the non-profits.
