BRYAN - A truck involved in a crash on Highway 6 near Briarcrest Drive in Bryan Wednesday evening caught fire and was engulfed in minutes.
The flames shot up a plume of black smoke that could be seen for miles. Police say the driver of a black pickup was speeding and slammed into the back of the truck which caught on fire, that truck in turn rear ended another vehicle.
The good news, only minor injuries were reported. Southbound Highway 6 was closed for about an hour as crews worked to clean up the mess.
The driver that police say caused the accident was given a ticket.
