Washington County Officials Warn Sausage Thieves

Deputies in Washington County who are investigating a burglary are also trying to save the life of the burglar or burglars who stole poisoned sausage by putting the word out to not eat the sausage.

Intended to kill coyotes, deputies say the sausage links had been laced with enough poison that could also kill a human.

During the burglary in the 2300 block of Rehburg Road last Friday night, burglars also took game cameras, game calls and night vision goggles.

Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 979-277-6251.
