A woman who was hit by a car just outside the B&B Food Mart on Highway 79 in Jewett Wednesday remains in intensive care.

The Leon County Sheriff says the woman was running across Highway 79 with her two kids Wednesday just after 5 p.m. when a driver accidentally hit her as he was pulling out of the B&B Food Mart.

The Sheriff says all three were hit, but only the woman was severely injured. She was air-lifted to a hospital in Tyler with traumatic head injuries.
