BRYAN - Cinco de Mayo did not end on a good note for one woman.
Police say that 25-year-old Amy Lynn Arredondo hit another woman over the head with a beer bottle Monday night inside the restaurant in Bryan. Several witnesses say Arredondo and the victim were arguing.
Officers say as the victim went to her table to get her things, that's when Arredondo grabbed a beer bottle and hit her in the head. Witnesses say the woman fell to the ground and started bleeding from her head. Witnesses also say that Arredondo kept attacking the woman with the bottle. Officers say several people stepped in to stop Arredondo.
She was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. She is in the Brazos County Jail under $8,000.
