A staff member at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, who was arrested for driving while intoxicated back in April, is back in jail.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports that 25-year-old Calli Dretke was arrested at the hospital yesterday because her bond was revoked.
In April she crashed her vehicle into a Breath Alcohol Testing van and a deputy suffered a broken leg.
She was charged with intoxicated assault. The offense is usually a third-degree felony but it was upgraded to a second-degree felony because the victim was a peace officer.
Investigators say the Toyota SUV she was driving eastbound on Research Forest Road in The Woodlands collided with a BAT van and two other parked patrol cars. A Montgomery County sheriff's deputy was injured when he was struck on impact.
Dretke serves as director of marketing and community relations for Huntsville Memorial Hospital, but she does not serve patients directly.
