A wrong way accident on Highway 6, just south of Navasota, sent two people to the hospital Wednesday night

It happened around 9:30 near the 105 exit.

Officials tell us a female driver turned onto Highway 6 from 105 and was traveling southbound in the northbound lane.

She collided head on with another pick up traveling in the opposite direction.

Officials tell us their injuries do not appear life threatening.

Both were transported to the College Station Medical Center.

The female driver has not been cited at this time.

Officials had shut down Highway 6 in both directions, but we're told the roadway is back open.

The accident is under investigation.
