Posted: 2:32 PM The Brazos County Voter Registration Department is mailing letters of inquiry and address confirmation forms to over 10,000 registered voters this week. The requests for updated information are going to any registered voter whose new voter certificate was returned to the Voter Registrar after the mass mailing of certificates in April. The mass mailing of voter certificates was delayed this year due to the dispute over finalizing the State’s redistricting plans. The confirmation process was also delayed by the primary election schedule so no one’s voter eligibility would be questioned during the election cycle.
Posted: 2:27 PM On Tuesday, August 21, 2012, the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will shift traffic to the new eastbound constructed roadway in order to rehab the existing roadbed, which will become the new westbound lanes of SH 21 when the project is complete. Motorists who travel this area should expect temporary lane closures and delays through the day while the new lanes are being striped.
