One man is behind bars in Montgomery County, accused of shooting a fellow party-goer after an argument.
The shooting happened early Sunday morning at the Imperial Chase Apartments in Spring. Police arrived at the housing facility, off of Brookhaven, and found a man lying in the parking lot. It turns out the victim, Andres Mederos-Leyve, was shot once in the back with a rifle. Mederos-Leyve was taken to Hermann hospital in Houston.
Tuesday morning police arrested Abarca Guerrero, 26, and charged him with aggravated assault. Detectives learned the shooting was the result of an altercation between the two men while they were at a party.
