A Walker County man is in jail after a lengthy drug investigation that pulled more than $9,000 worth in illegal drugs off the street.

49-year-old David Wayne Choate was arrested Tuesday during a search warrant. Walker County Sheriff's deputies said they found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription drugs, as well as a stolen firearm inside his house.

Officers also located many items that they suspect are stolen.

Choate was charged with felonies for manufacturing and delivery of controlled substances and theft of a fire arm.
