Tip Leads Bryan Cops to Drug Arrest Near Local Park

BRYAN An anonymous tip lead Bryan Police to make a drug arrest near a local park.

According to the police report, 31-year-old Charles Ray Sims was with a group of men outside a residence on Polk Street. When police arrived, they searched the group and the car that Sims' had reportedly used to get there.

Inside, police say they found crack cocaine. At the time of contact, Sims was over 300 feet from Washington Park, well inside the 1,000 drug free zone.

He was arrested for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone. He has since bonded out of the Brazos County Jail.
