GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Florida preacher who espouses
anti-Islam philosophy says he's canceling plans to burn copies of
the Muslim holy book on Sept. 11.
Pastor Terry Jones says he canceled the burning because the leader of a planned Islamic Center near ground zero has agreed to move its controversial location.
There's no confirmation of that claim. Government and religious
leaders had pleaded with Jones to reconsider his plans.
