WASHINGTON (AP) - Key lawmakers say the United States needs to
set a tough example for the rest of the world by cutting off trade
with Iran.
House Foreign Affairs Committee members at a hearing Wednesday
were reacting to an Associated Press investigation that found U.S.
exports to Iran have grown significantly during President Bush's
years in office. Committee Chairman Howard Berman of California and
Republican Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana say they thought the U.S. had
stopped trading with Iran.
