Bush Postpones Texas Trip, Demands Russia Quit Georgia

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush has postponed the start of a
two-week stay at his Central Texas ranch to monitor developments in
the clash between Russia and neighboring Georgia.
He says he's skeptical that Moscow is honoring a cease-fire in
the former Soviet republic, so he's delaying the start of his
planned vacation to further deal with the crisis.
Bush was scheduled to leave Washington tomorrow for his Crawford
ranch. White House press secretary Dana Perino said today that
the president wwas postponing his trip for "a couple of days."
She also announced that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is
leaving Wednesday evening for a diplomatic trip. She'll stop first
in Paris to assist the West's diplomatic efforts and then go to the
Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
