With all of the recalls these days, people are becoming uneasy about the products that they are purchasing. But Kroger shoppers are now able to check their receipts for some guidance.
Kroger card carriers are being notified on receipts of products that they have purchased in the past that have been recalled for health and other reasons.
Their most recent notification was in regard to the peanut butter recall linked to salmonella contamination. The Center for Science in the Public Interest is calling for all grocery stores with loyalty cards to do this.
Giant Eagle and Costco Wholesale are following in Kroger's footsteps and using their cards to let their customers know about recalled products.
