NEW YORK (AP) - "Fine" and "lovely." Those are two words
Donald Trump is using to describe photos of Miss California USA,
Carrie Prejean (pray-ZHAHN') posing in underwear.
Trump owns the Miss USA pageant and says the 21-year-old Prejean
can keep her title.
At a press conference in New York today with Prejean at his
side, Trump also defended the answer she gave at last month's Miss
USA pageant when asked for her views on same-sex marriage. Prejean
said she believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.
Trump says that's "the same answer the president of the United
States gave" and reflects the views of "many people." He says
Prejean "gave an honorable answer" that came "from her heart."
For her part, Prejean accused judge and celebrity blogger Perez
Hilton of asking a "politically charged question with a hidden
personal agenda." She says she stated her "honest belief."
