WASHINGTON- House Republican leader John Boehner says a political rebellion is brewing over the direction Democrats are trying to take the country, especially in terms of health care.
And he says the Massachusetts special Senate election should serve as a very loud warning shot.
In the weekly GOP media address, Boehner says the rebellion is the result of opposition to greater government control over the economy and people's lives.
And he says Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts is the first result.
Boehner says his home state of Ohio "has endured nine straight months of double-digit unemployment" while Democrats focus on what
he calls a "government takeover of health care."
Boehner says the Democratic plan is one "families just can't afford and want nothing to do with."
