The real estate market in Bryan College Station has been hot so far this year.
Most of the homes being sold are coming in under the $200-thousand mark.
Realtors we spoke with today credit the federal program that gives first time home buyers an $8-thousand tax credit for the boost in sales.
Longtime College Station Realtor Cherry Ruffiino says the Federal program is accounting for about 50% of the sales in her office. She says it has turned what's usually a slow time of year into bustling business.
Time is running out for this program. Under the rules, you must have a house under contract by the last day of April and close on the house by the end of June.
Ther Federal Governent also has incentives for those buyers who aren't first timers.
We've provided a link below to see what program you qualify for.
