SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Emergency workers say they think they've stopped a 21,000 gallon oil leak from reaching Utah's environmentally sensitive Great Salt Lake.

An underground pipeline in the mountains broke Friday night, sending the oil into a creek that flows through neighborhoods, a popular Salt Lake City park and eventually into the Jordan River.

It's left more than 100 birds coated in oil.
