Afghans Show 15 Bodies Allegedly Shot By American

Afghan and NATO officials say a U.S. service member walked out of a base in southern Afghanistan before dawn today and started shooting Afghan civilians in two villages.

Residents have shown an Associated Press photographer 15 bodies, including women and children, they say were killed by the American.

NATO forces have detained the U.S. service member and is apologizing for the shootings, calling them "callous acts" that were "in no way" authorized.
