A former contractor at NASA's Langley Research Center has been ordered to leave the United States within 48 hours as part of a plea agreement.
Bo Jiang pleaded guilty Thursday to willfully violating a NASA regulation. Court documents say Jiang wrongfully installed computer software programs, sexually explicit images and numerous copyrighted videos on a NASA laptop.
Jiang worked at the Hampton facility for about two years as a National Institute of Aerospace employee.
Jiang was originally charged with lying to federal authorities in March after failing to disclose all the electronic equipment he was taking home with him to China after he lost his job. He was under investigation for possible violations of the Arms Control Export Act at the time. Court documents say no classified material was found.
