It's shaping up to be a cold and miserable weekend in many parts of the country. Icy conditions are expected from Texas to the East Coast.
The National Weather Service says Texans can expect subfreezing temperatures to continue through the weekend.
Forecasters say parts of Tennessee could see a second day of freezing rain and sleet before the storm starts spreading northeast.
Virginia officials are warning of the possibility of serious icing tomorrow. Ice and snow are in the forecast for other parts of the East as well.
The cold snap is blamed for several deaths. Two weather-related traffic fatalities have been reported in Oklahoma and one in Dallas. In California, four people in the San Francisco Bay Area died of hypothermia.
