A former KBTX producer living in New York City says it's "eerie and quiet" in the city after Hurricane Sandy made landfall.

Brenna Flores worked as a weekend producer for KBTX back in 2010. She recently moved to New York. She spoke with Brazos Valley This Morning by phone Tuesday.

Flores said she lives near the Queensboro Bridge and is used to hearing the car horns, but said it's been "eerie and quiet" since evacuations were put in place.
