The impending hurricane has put a crimp in Republicans' convention plans in Tampa, but the few hundred protesters gathering downtown say they are ready to go, rain or shine.
Protesters were set up Sunday in a park under overcast skies with the wind starting to kick up and some rain starting to fall. The worst from Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to affect Tampa on Monday with heavy rain expected.
But 52 year-old Donald Butner isn't deterred. He says he's been sleeping at the Occupy camp in Tampa for a few months and "we're here, baby, rain or shine."
Giant blocks of ice spelling out the words "middle class" were set up in a park. Protesters plan to have the blocks melt, symbolizing the melting away of the middle class in America.
