Texas-based oil refiner Valero is offering $25,000 for information that can help police in their investigation into the murder of an employee in Memphis.
Police said 40-year-old Leonard Davidson left his home before dawn on Jan. 20 to start his shift as an operator at the Valero oil refinery in Memphis. Police said someone jumped out of a truck and fatally shot him.
Al Philippus, vice president of corporate services and security for Valero Energy Corp, said they want to bring justice to the horrible crime and demonstrate to their employees that they want to do everything they can.
Stacy Davidson, his wife, told The Commercial Appeal that she thought the reward was wonderful and hoped it would help police catch the killer.
