"Two and a Half Men" reports about the potential replacement for Charlie Sheen has centered on "Parks and Recreations" star Rob Lowe.
Insiders have told TMZ that series creator Chuck Lorre is trying to keep the show going and is currently eying Lowe to be the new star. Sheen was fired from the hit CBS series on Monday.
According to the gossip site, Lorre's people have been in contact with the actor's agent about the possibility of joining the show.
Lowe joins a list of candidates who have reportedly been considered for the gig. Last week, John Stamos surfaced as a possible replacement after an insider reportedly saw him talking with CBS chief Leslie Moonves.
However the former "Full House" star shot down the rumor on his Twitter account, writing, "Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on two and half me. However, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son."
Other names in the frame include Jerry O'Connell, Donny Osmond and Steve Carrell, who just finished his seven-year run on "The Office."
