Republican Rick Santorum says he thinks he can win Tuesday's presidential primary in Michigan and that conservatives shouldn't trust his main rival, Mitt Romney.
Santorum told tea party members in St. Clair Shores, Mich., on Saturday that Romney's claims that Santorum isn't conservative are "laughable."
Santorum calls the race in Michigan, the state where Romney was born and raised, "close" and "winnable."
Romney's TV ads are attacking Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator, for voting for legislation that conservatives opposed.
Santorum is hitting back by calling Romney an "Occupy Wall Street adherent" because Romney has said his tax plan would limit deductions and exemptions for "the top 1 percent."
