New Zealand officials have reduced the number of people unaccounted for in last week's deadly earthquake.

They now say more than 50 are missing, and 147 known dead.

More than 600 rescuers have been searching through rubble, but
it's been five days since anyone was pulled out alive.

More than 20 people are feared buried in rubble at Christchurch
Cathedral, where tourists were climbing the bell tower for its
panoramic views when the earthquake struck. \

Even more bodies could be entombed in the ruins of a downtown building where dozens of foreign students attend an international language school.

Many churches were badly damaged in the quake, and some held
Sunday services outdoors.
