Police say their search for a suspect includes a review of security video of a shooting that killed one person and injured seven at one of Canada's busiest malls.
Police say the gunman opened fire in a busy food court in Toronto's downtown Eaton Centre and that hundreds of panicked shoppers sprinted for the exits. The mall was evacuated.
Some of the injuries came when people were trampled on and pushed. A Toronto police spokesman says two people are in critical condition.
The Eaton Centre is a busy shopping area in Canada's largest city and is popular with tourists.
