Videos Show Formation, Force of Moore, OK Tornado

As the recovery effort begins in Oklahoma, videos of Monday's tornado that struck the City of Moore are going viral online, showing the devastating power of Mother Nature.

As of Tuesday morning, the storm was preliminarily being ruled an EF-4, the second most-powerful on the scale of tornado strength, one with winds ranging from 166 to 200 miles-per-hour.

One nearly-six-minute video purports to show the tornado as it emerges from the clouds, touches down and grows in strength moving towards Moore from Newcastle.

Another from storm chaser Ben Holcomb shows the tornado from various angles and stages.

A third shows a three-minute time lapse of the tornado from start to finish from local television shots from a helicopter.

Another purports to be from a family emerging from its storm shelter after the storm has passed, only to see the area ripped apart.
