Chicago man convicted in plot against Danish paper

Posted: 06/09/2011 - CHICAGO (AP) - A jury has found a Chicago businessman guilty of two of three terror-related charges including a plot to attack a Danish newspaper that in 2005 had printed cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. The jury reached its verdict on Thursday. It found found Tahawwur Rana (tuh-HOW'-ur RAH'-nah) not guilty of providing material support to terrorism in relation to the deadly 2008 attacks in Mumbai. But it found Rana guilty of charges relating to the plot against the Danish paper that was never carried out and supporting the Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LAHSH-kar eh TAY-eh-ba).
