TEMPLE, Texas (AP) Authorities say a 12-year-old Central Texas boy has died after being pulled from a municipal pool during a private party.
McGregor City Manager Kevin Evans on Monday identified the victim as Trayvon Thomas.
Officials say the child was attending an event Friday night when he had to be rescued. Trayvon died Saturday night at a hospital in Temple.
Evans says three lifeguards were on duty at the time of the accident. Authorities did not immediately say whether they believe the boy could swim.
McGregor is 10 miles southwest of Waco.
