At least five people have been shot in east Harris County.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Sunday afternoon that four of the wounded were taken to a hospital in a vehicle, while another was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Authorities have not released the names and ages of those injured.

Deputy Thomas Gilliland told KHOU (http://bit.ly/IZ01Q5 ) that investigators were trying to figure out if the shooting involved more than one group of people.
