DALLAS (AP) - Dallas police have released the identity of a
woman who allegedly threw her two young sons from a freeway
overpass today before leaping off herself.
All three somehow survived the 22-foot fall into morning
rush-hour traffic on Interstate 30, just east of downtown Dallas.
Police identified the mother as 27-year-old Khandi Busby. They
say she and her sons, ages 8 and 6, are in stable condition at
Dallas hospitals and are well enough to speak with investigators.
Police believe Busby and the 8-year-old were struck by cars,
which managed to avoid the younger brother.
A police spokesman says Busby and her sons were in a vehicle
with her father when they stopped for gas. The spokesman says Busby
took her two sons to the overpass while her father was paying for
Police say Busby could face two charges of attempted capital
