IOWA PARK, Texas (AP) - Four Iowa Park teens are accused of
killing livestock and damaging farm property by gunfire.
Officials say the shootings in southwest Wichita County, since
late February, left six cattle and one mule dead and caused $25,000
worth of damage.
Wichita County Sheriff's Lieutenant David Duke says several
tractors were shot. Some stop signs and other traffic control
devices were damaged.
Duke says one incident involved shots fired toward a building
while people were nearby. Nobody was hurt.
Several rifles have been recovered.
Records show 18-year-olds Trever Allen Stewart, Justin Odom and
Christopher Earl Bennett, plus 19-year-old Cody Allen Weller, are
charged with criminal mischief.
The suspects were arrested Wednesday.
All were released yesterday on bond. Jail officials had no
immediate information on lawyers for the teens.
